Beauty Launches February 2017
What: Magnifyeyes Eye Contouring Palette in Keep Calm and Wear Gold
Why I Love It: There’s nothing like a myriad of gold and brown eyeshadows to get you excited about framing your peepers – especially when you’ve got blue eyes! I’m not a massive wearer of shadows; apart from the occasional smoky eye on a night out, I normally just stick to mascara. But the Magnifyeyes Eye Contouring Palette comes in three different variations, and all boast eight different shades to contour your eye with, an applicator and mirror (making them ideal to travel with or take with you on a night out), plus a crease-proof/smear-proof, long-lasting colour.
What: Séla Minerals launches in Dubai
Why I Love It: Inspired by the city of Jordan, this new skincare brand combines a unique French formula with ancient minerals from the Dead Sea, and it has just launched in Dubai. You may have spotted on Instagram last month I had breakfast at the gorgeous St. Regis hotel with the Séla Minerals team, and got to learn all about the lovely products. The brand is comprised of four different lines: the Blue Secret range provide treatment for sensitive, dull, congested or dry skin; the Pearl Rice range is all about creating a radiant white glow; the Mineral Gold range focuses on anti-ageing, and the products in the Instant Perfection range are suffused with herbal and plant extracts to deliver skin that is moisturized, smooth and silky.
What: Clarins Ombre Iridescent Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow in Silver Rose, Silver Grey and Silver White.
Hydra-Essentiel Bi-Phase Serum
Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream
Clarins New Limited Edition Face Contouring Palette
Why I Love It: I’m yet to meet a Clarins product I don’t like! The Hydra-Essentiel line has launched and I am utterly obsessed with the Bi-Phase Serum and Silky Cream Moisturiser. Anyone living in Dubai will know of the sudden changes in temperature and humidity when going from freezing cold AC indoors to sweltering heat outside, which, in the long run, can have detrimental effects on our skin. Well, the new Hydra-Essentiel range is here to shake things up, and the new formulas are all about helping the skin regain its natural capacity to retain water. Also new to my make-up bag this month are the iridescent eyeshadows and face contouring palette – love!
What: Mademoiselle Azzaro Eau de Toilette
Why I Love It: Am I the only person who hasn’t heard of Azzaro perfumes? Where has this little gem of a fragrance been hiding all my life? If you’ve been following my beauty posts for a while, you’ll know I love fruity, floral and sweet scents, and this Eau de Toilette ticks all the boxes. With top notes of peach and mandarin blossom, and middle notes of peony, jasmine and orange blossom, Mademoiselle Azzaro smells as pretty as it looks.
What: Lancaster Tap Deepener
Why I Love It: Anything that says ‘tap deepener’ on it has my attention! Lancaster has launched one of their best loved products now with SPF 6. The formula now not only helps protect from UV rays, but also boasts a tinted hue, which’ll give you an immediate tan as soon as you apply the product. Apparently the Tan Deepener is best worn by skin-types which rarely burn or are accustomed to the sun, so be careful if you’re very fair!
What: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water
Hydro Boost Cleanser
Hydro Boost Face-Wipes
Why I Love It: It seems that with summer just around the corner brands are all turning to skin hydration – and Neutrogena is no different. I’ve mentioned Clarins’ Hydra-Essentiel range in this post, but if you’re looking for a more affordable option, then the Hydro Boost products are for you. Favourites from the range would have to be the Water Gel and Gel Cream, which are gel-based moisturisers that are super hydrating and are absorbs very quickly (ideal for anyone with an oily complexion and doesn’t want to be left with a shiny face post-moisturising.)
What: LYN (Love Your Nails)
Why I Love It: I can say with confidence that this is the first and only Halal nail polish brand I’ve ever heard of, seen or tried! The lacquers have a revolutionary new formula which, unlike other polishes, allows water and air to be able to flow through the formula and make contact with the nail, meaning Muslim women can pray whilst wearing the polish. I’m not a massive fan of this sparkly red colour I was sent to try (mostly because it feels like its wear should be reduced to the festive months only), but LYN also comes in 28 very pretty, Halal-certified shades – I’m eyeing up the nudes in particular!
