This post is looooong overdue, but better late than never, right? Last month, I hosted the most stunning breakfast in the desert with some of my favourite blogging girlies.
We grouped in the morning, met our Arabian Adventures drivers for the day and ventured out to the sweeping sand dunes of Dubai’s Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR). On arrival, after about a 45 minute drive, we ditched the motors in favour of a morning authentic means of transport: camel trekking. Our ‘ships of the desert’ carried us half an hour through the dunes, past a heard of Arabian oryxs, and dropped us off at the lake.
We took in the breathtaking views of the lake, the billowing table clothes in the wind and the windswept scenery – making sure to take plenty of pictures along the way, of course – before sitting down to eat. Nestled under the shade of some palm trees, our breakfast in the dessert included glasses of prosecco, fresh fruit, croissants and other delicious, albeit slightly naughty, pastries.
A truly magical morning thanks to Arabian Adventures and one that I recommend to anyone who has visitors coming to Dubai. For more information and bookings click here.
Thank you to Paperless Post for supplying the invitations
