When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s Villamore…
I think I just found the most stunning brunch Dubai has to offer. Yes, seaside brunches aren’t exactly hard to come by in the UAE, but Villamore takes stylish, lazy Friday afternoon brunching to a whole new level. The picturesque eatery, located on shoreline of the Palm Jumeirah’s incredible new Emerald Palace Kempinski hotel, is imbued with Santoini-esque nautical hues, wooden tables and ceramic accents.
Brunch at the Mediterranean restaurant starts in the cheese and meat room – yes, you read that correctly. Guests can pile their plates high with fresh charcuterie, salads and slabs of soft, hard and blue cheese, all to be washed down with an Aperol Spritz the size of your head. Once you’ve wet the whistle, you’ll move onto mains, served a la carte and brought straight to the table. A myriad of seafood dishes will arrive – think ceviche, octopus, squid ink risotto, fresh filleted fish, salads and crispy potatoes. If Aperol isn’t your thing, the waiters at Villamore walk through the restaurant, magnum bottle of Whispering Angel in tow, ready to top up any glasses that look like they’re running low. If you can manage dessert – and I definitely think you should – the panna cotta is divine, and there’s chocolate cake for those after something more rich.
Price: Dhs375 for food and soft drinks (alcohol sold separately)
