And you need to know about it.
I’ve never been to Le Cirque and not enjoyed myself. Everything from the food to the wine to the staff make the whole experience a more than delightful one, and my most recent visit was no exception. The French-Italian fine dining restaurant has a new weekend menu, and I’ve got your first look.
Dejeuner Avec Le Chef, which literally translates to ‘lunch with the chef’, is the new three-course menu where every course is decided by the chef. Quickly becoming my favourite way to dine out, all you have to do it sat back, sip on a glass of crisp white wine and the food will be delivered to your table.
For starters, escargot drenched in a warm, buttery garlic sauce and two fresh salads to wet the whistle. The most tender beef in a rich, creamy sauce, a nice chunky slab of salmon with a tomato salsa and a coconut cream-coated fillet of fish arrived for mains, accompanied by green beans, the most moreish sweet potato fries and a delicious asparagus and parmesan risotto. Once all our empty plates had been whisked away away, a crêpe station wheeled up next to us and we were served flambéd Crêpes Suzette that melted in your mouth and hardly touched the sides. It wouldn’t have been a traditional French or Italian dessert without a crème brûlée or panna cotta, both of which we were delighted to see placed in front of us, and both of which were completely polished off – just like the rest of our meal. Très bon!
