If you’re looking for a girls’ night out that’s silly, fun and full of cabaret, make Maison Rouge top of your list.
Plush velvet seats, walls coated in deep red licks of paint, chandeliers that look like they belong in the Marquis de Sade’s boudoir and Christina Aguilera’s Burlesque sound track playing on the speakers sets the stage for our evening ahead at Maison Rouge, located in the Conrad Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.
As soon as we take our seats and order a round of rosetinis – one of the club’s signature cocktails – a flock of burlesque dancers take to the stage, clad in feather boas and larger-than-life headdresses, and we know it’s going to be a good night.
We order a round of starters to share, including burrata, calamari and tuna tartare, before moving onto mains of steak and salmon, whilst watching the burlesque performances roll out in front of us. With such a focus on entertainment, you might think the food could afford to be a bit slack, but Maison Rouge don’t scrimp on any of the details. Delicious dishes, fabulous performances that are sure to get you out of your seat, Instagrammable interiors (always important) and great service.
Don’t miss the ladies’ night offer every Tuesday – four free drinks and 50% off your food bill.
