An English Country Escape

A Country Escape

There’s nothing like a quick visit back to the mothership to recharge your batteries.

Sometimes you just don’t realise just how much you need to see you family until you actually see them, and my recent trip to England was one of those times. I don’t often visit the U.K. anymore, so when I managed to steal a short few days holiday, I was determined to make the most of it. I landed on Friday and drove straight to the Cotswolds to visit chez Midwood. On arrival, naturally we tucked into my Granny’s homemade fruit cake, washed down with about three cups of proper tea. We woke up on Saturday morning and headed straight for Oakham to celebrate my Grandad’s 80th birthday. It was a a short but oh so sweet visit (I even managed to steal a day to head up to London, which you can read about >here<), so here are some snaps from my English country escape, which’ll give you all the feels. english country english country The Cotswolds The Cotswolds The Cotswolds
