Come inside the stunning brunch at Enigma, Palazzo Versace Dubai
Brunching for us expats has become a bit of a Friday prerequisite. But sometimes (just sometimes) you’re not in the mood for a rowdy, rather chavvy, day out. Sometimes you just want to go to brunch to enjoy the actual brunch, and this was one of those times.
Enigma, Palazzo Versace Dubai is home to a must-try Friday brunch, fuelled by prosecco, delicious food, stunning interiors and friendly staff. Everything in the restaurant is Versace-fied, meaning their signature tile motif and Medusa head is adorned on everything you could imagine, from the cushions to the champagne fluts, immeditately giving this brunch a real uniqeness.
Whilst the brunch is a la carte, all the starters and appetisers on the Turkish-style menu will be brought to your table. Favourites were the pide – a flatbread reminiscent of a maneesh; sigara borek – cheesed-stuffed pastry, and wagyu pastrami. Be careful not to snack too much on the freshly baked bread, which will be delivered to your table in abundance – it’s absolutely moreish and will fill you up quicker than you can say “maincourse”.
For mains I chose the short ribs, which were heavenly and just fell off the bone, and Ed tried lamb neck for the first time, which he devoured in about 30 seconds and wouldn’t share with me! By dessert we were absolutely stuffed, so we carried on sipping on the bottomless prosecco and enjoyed a couple of refreshing, homemade ice creams.
