This is where we visited the tea plantations, climbed Little Adam’s Peak and generally just gawped at the amazing views. We really wanted to stay in 98 Acres Hotel but it was fully booked (we went there for lunch one day and it was stunning. It’s the best hotel in Ella, so if you can get a room there I would recommend it.), so we stayed in Misty Hills Hotel which was pretty average in terms of hospitality but unrivalled in food (best prawns I have ever had) and the view from our room was absolutely incredible.
The drive from Kandy took us about seven hours which actually makes me feel sick thinking about it, but we did make lots of stops on the way to visit the waterfalls and tea plantations. We stayed in Ella for two nights which I think is ample time, because there is not reallyyyyy that much to do there tourist-wise.
