As of late, I’ve become rather obsessed with layering with lace.
The inherent lightness of the fabric when you live in a country where it’s summer all year round, the delicate details that lift any ensemble, and the ability to layer it under almost anything, whilst still maintaing that all important humidity-proof feat, are just a few of the reasons why I’m so drawn to it.
From little black slip dresses to the all-in-one jumpsuit, the layering with lace trend trend has exploded into so many iterations, and can be worn in so many different ways. I’m all about finding ways to reuse pieces that’ve been hanging in your wardrobe for ages, and this is such an easy way to add a really chic element to an otherwise rather plain jumpsuit. During those inbetween months of the year, when it’s not quite cold and not quite hot, layering is also key for transitioning your wardrobe from spring to summer.
Easy swaps and creative styling make for an effortless throw-on-and-go approach. Try a plain white tee to get you started before building up to more sartorial statements like bardot tops and turtle-neck jumpers.
