From the new Shiseido’s new Essential Energy Moisturizing Cream to a Marc Jacobs’ Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara, here are my March beauty faves and a few products from my Maldivian beauty regime.
I picked up the latest Shiseido product at the brand’s launch event, and have been using it for about three weeks now. It’s great if you don’t like a product with an overwhelming smell, plus the texture is lovely and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and plump. The product claims to be suitable for all skin types, and whilst I definitely can’t speak for dry skin, it’s certainly not too heavy for my oily complexion. It’s slightly on the pricier side but it is Shiseido, after all!
With skin as oily as mine, my number one question when it comes to mascara is: will it rub off around my eyes as my pores secrete sebum throughout the day? The answer for this mascara is absolutely not. I am a self-confessed lash extension addict, so admittedly I only use this product on my lower lashes, but I absolutely love it and definitely recommend for anyone with oily skin.
I have been using Bioderma for years and simply can’t get enough of the stuff! I recently expanded my habitual boots haul and decided to try out a few extra products. I am a frequent user of the H2O Purifying Cleansing Micelle Solution and can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for a well-priced cleanser that does a great job.
On holiday I started playing with the Hydrabio Serum and it’s another winner for me. It leaves my skin feeling tight, plump and ready to apply some moisturizer.
The other two products (Mattifying Fluid & Sbium Pore Refiner) are two products I’m really excited to start using. I didn’t want to use any pore-clogging products whilst I was letting my skin breathe on holiday, but they are supposed to be a bit of a game-changer for oily complexions. Watch this space.
Is there anything better than bronzed skin and a statement rep lip on holiday? When it comes to make-up, this is as far as I went in the Maldives. The formula is super matte and I highly recommend the Royal Red hue for anything after that timeless colour with an air of old Hollywood glamour.
I have talked about my love of this product on my blog before, but just thought I’d give it another shoutout because I’m still purchasing it! In fact, when my grandma came to Dubai, she tried it and fell in love. It’s an amazing overnight oil to smother all over your face and wake up with the softest skin. I used it loads of holiday to avoid peeling when I caught the sun. #GrownAlchemistForPresident
