It’s taken me quite a while to become understanding and acceptable of my own style.
I’m not a beanpole and I never have been. I’ve always had boobs and curves, which I’ve not always been so proud of, so finding clothes that I feel 100% comfortable in is still somewhat of a novelty. Some of the things you will never find me in are bodycon, midriff bearing and sleeveless pieces, but I used to try and force myself to wear these things, because they were on trend or because someone else wore them and I thought it looked good. But now I feel like I’ve finally stropped dressing for other people and found my own style that I am confident in.
It’s all about dressing for your body shape, and if you’ve read my style posts, you will know that my go-to look is an over-sized silhouette with a black skinny jean – it’s what you’ll find me in 90% of the week. I’ve never been one to show off cleavage and I wouldn’t be seen dead in a body-con dress, I like to keep my look conservative and feminine, so I couldn’t help but show off my brand new addition to my already over-sized wardrobe, the Funnel Neck Sweater from Mango. And with winter right around the corner, you can expect to see plenty of these styles of tops making their way happily into my wardrobe!
