If you live in Dubai, you’ll know that the shores of the Arabian Gulf are laden with high rise buildings and man-made islands. But hop in your car, head southbound for an hour, and you’ll arrive at the stunning and tranquil Saadiyat Beach Club, Abu Dhabi.
Aside from the club itself, the beach is completely untouched, with miles and miles (5.5 to be exact) of white sand waiting for you to sink your toes into. The pool has been built to perfection; 650-square-metres in size, private cabanas dotted around the edge and an infinity finish over looking the shoreline. For lunch you have the choice of three restaurants, De La Costa, Cabana 9 or Safina, which is where we ordered from. The menus are exactly what you’ll be craving after sitting in the sun for hours, with a choice of salads, fresh seafood, ice cold juices and cocktails, plus a delicious fruit platter to finish. If you head up early enough, you can also take advantage of the gym, sauna, steam room and spa!
