Now the weather in the Gulf is finally cooling down, we’re all on the hunt for a well-made drink with a breathtaking view to match.
Ahead, the best rooftop bars in Dubai where the skyline seamlessly transitions from a vibrant terrace for sunset drinks, to a sleek late-night spot.
Pure Sky Lounge, Hilton Dubai The Walk Hotel
JBR-based high-rise lounge and restaurant, Pure Sky Lounge, situated on the 35th floor of the Hilton hotel, has been a fave for a few years now. The bar-slash-eatery not only boasts stunning 360 views of the Marina, they’ve also launched a totally affordable Friday and Saturday sunset brunch, which offers unlimited wine, beer and house spirits, accompanied by a selection of Pan-Asian cuisine from 6pm-9.30pm for Dhs395.
40 Kong, H Hotel
Up in the stars, amongst twinkling lights of Sheikh Zayed road, pull up a chair on the H Hotel’s 40th floor’s rooftop and cocktail lounge, 40 Kong.
Mercury Lounge, Four Seasons Hotel
With stunning views of the Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai, this glamourous rooftop venue, in one of the city’s most prominent five-star hotels, deserves your highest pair of heels and best lick of red lipstick. Don’t miss their Thursday evening ‘brunch‘ if you fancy giving the menu a go, or head over from 6-8pm for happy hour sundowners.
Folly by Nick & Scott, Madinat Jumeirah
Prosecco pops and unrivaled sea views makes this the perfect rooftop bar to take visitors to. I’m yet to dine here, but I’m happy to pull up a seat for happy hour every day from 4pm-6pm.
Treehouse, Taj Hotel
An urban hideaway awaits at this swanky Downtown rooftop hangout overlooking the Burj Khalifa and the twinkling lights of Business Bay. With foliage and flora sprouting out of the furnishings, it’s a welcome escape from the Brutalist buildings of Dubai’s DIFC.
