The best thing about having a whole bunch of friends living in London is that they know the really cool places to go.
The places which are off the beaten track, and you’d never think to go there as a tourist. So I’ve decided to let you in on four must-visit places, from Camden to Soho.
1 – Lunch at Camden Lock Market
From halloumi fries to gourmet mac and cheese to Vietnamese pulled pork buns (and all for about a fiver a dish), I’ve never been so overwhelmed by the sheer choice of street food food.
2 – Rooftop Cocktails at Madison
I’ve been here a couple of times now and it never disappoints. The cocktails will set you back about £12 (that’s London for ya!), but the views will definitely make it worth it. Just make sure you pick a day when the sun is shining!
3 – Dinner at Rum Kitchen
Nestled away in Kingly Court, just off Carnaby Street, head over to Rum Kitchen for happy hour cocktails at 5pm, then chow down on their delicious Caribbean menu.
4 – Cocktails at Cahoots
Once you’ve finished at Rum Kitchen, make your way to Cahoots, which is easily the coolest bar I’ve never been to. Set in post-war Britain, all the staff are dressed in 1940’s attire, and the entire restaurant is set up as a ‘disguised’ underground station, playing tribute to the prohibition era, when alcohol was illegal – SO COOL!
